At the start of the year, one of my friends (M) asked me about making friends. We were just having the regular new year catch-up/talk and he stated wanting to make more friends as a goal for 2021, hence his question. I was pleasantly surprised that he was asking me about making friends. These tips are for anyone looking to have deeper friendships, whichever way they may have started.

My experience with mentorship
Over the years, I have heard people talk about mentorship again and again. Even people in my circle throw in 'my mentor said' once in a while and it used to irk me. In my mind, I was almost always like what's the big deal about mentorship and I had a subconscious plan to 'make it in life' without a mentor.

The year 2020: a retrospective review
Lol. To be honest, I don't know why I chose to make that title the title of this end-of-year review post. I just opened the laptop and realised I didn't have a title and I also didn't want to go with '2020 in retrospect'. I guess this title actually fits, especially considering that none of us could have accurately predicted how this year turned out.

Identity: What does it really mean?
I have always thought of identity as a concept, idea or set of adjectives that define me, who I am. Such an identity has so much more to do with the inner self than the outward situation. It is so much more than body size, hair colour or job title. If those things change, does that imply that your identity, who you really are, changes as well?
