Halfway through the year
Happy new month!!! I can still say that right?, even though we’re at the end of the first week already. Welcome to July and the rest of 2019! I decided to write a post on how my year has been, majorly as a way of checking in on myself and how the year has gone so far. If I were to score myself based on my set goals this year, I’d give me 1.5/10 now. I’ve slacked a lot but one thing I haven’t done is completely giving up on them. Travels|| A road trip to Erin-Ijesha
About two weekends ago, I joined the league of people who can proudly boast of visiting Erin-Ijesha waterfalls at least once! I went there with a friend and it was a really beautiful experience which I’ll tell you about in this post. So, a little backstory about this trip. The most recent experience I had was deciding to change my work place from a rural area to a more urban centre. This might sound like a no-brainer but it wasn’t exactly that for me. I am one to ponder a lot on things, almost to a detrimental level. I used to worry about this part of me in…

Book Review||Born a Crime
Last month, I read the book ‘Born a Crime’ and let me just say this – it was an awesome read. Biographies, auto or otherwise, have recently become one of my favorite genres of books to read. Not only because I get to read about (and learn from) people’s lives, how they grew up and how they got to where they are now, but also because it gives me a glimpse into history, what the world was like years and years ago. I’ve picked up a flair for history and biographies help in a way to fan that flame within, as well as novels with historical settings – they have…
